In Scottsdale, we’ve gotten off track: Less than 50% of our High School students are proficient in reading and math. Parents are fleeing public schools for alternative education options. Trust in our administration and school board continues to decline. We must make positive changes for our students.
At 11 years old, I landed on the tarmac, “Welcome to America” by Neil Diamond played over the loudspeakers. Three weeks later I walked into a public-school classroom and stood for the pledge of allegiance. I did not speak English, but I knew I was in the greatest country on earth!
Our students are the future of our country. We must give them the opportunity to thrive! Your small contributions can make a big impact. Join me in restoring excellence to Scottsdale schools.
